Some words by Giusi Ferrè about the Lucio Costa SS17 Capsule Collection:

Things-As-They-Are hold a promise: the thrust of what would be. The garments in this collection are vibrant with a commanding reality, anticipated by some of Lucio Costa’s most significant stylistic concepts; reassessed by today’s sensitivity. Clean lines emanate a sense of innate involvement, like kinetic art. The fabric transforms the welding process into a source of decorative elements - inlay, giant letters mirrored at various levels, modified surfaces with bits that overlap, criss-crossing; folds that emerge from interruptions; tubular elements; raw edges.

Everything is black or white; symbol of extreme minimalism. But the white refuses its historic “purity”, allowing the physical density of the cloth to emerge. For nothing in this collection is what it seems.
